Protecting Warren

Firefighters install one of the scores of sprinkler heads along approximately 13 miles of fire hose that has been placed throughout town to protect structures from the approaching Loon Lake and Zena Creek fires. Sprinklers are used to saturate the ground and raise the relative humidity to prevent falling hot embers from starting spot fires which would spread the fire and threaten structures.
