Protecting Warren

Fire crews have been busy preparing Warren for the approaching Loon Lake and Zena Creek fires both of which are heading toward this old historic mining town. Water pumps have been stratigically placed in the Warren Creek, miles of hose has been run, sprinklers have been placed to protect buildings and some buildings have been wrapped with fire foil. The fires have the potential to burn together and threaten over 40 structures.
